Martin

Kannada Movie, “Martin” is an exhausting and chaotic attempt at an action thriller that fails on nearly every front. Despite a plot that might have had potential, the execution is so over-the-top and poorly managed that it completely drowns out any redeeming qualities the story might have offered.

The film’s narrative is a mess, packed with excessive action sequences and an unnecessarily convoluted storyline that jumps from one conflict to the next without giving the audience a moment to connect with the characters or the plot. The sheer amount of chaos on screen becomes overwhelming, leaving viewers disoriented rather than engaged. It feels like the filmmakers prioritized quantity over quality, cramming in as many action-packed moments as possible at the expense of cohesive storytelling.

Dhruva Sarja’s performance as Martin is another significant drawback. His exaggerated growling voice, meant to convey intensity, quickly becomes grating and almost comical. Instead of adding depth or menace to the character, it feels forced and overdone, to the point where it’s hard to take him seriously. It’s as though every line was designed to be shouted or snarled, making it tiring to watch. This, combined with a shallow portrayal of the character, leaves little for the audience to connect with emotionally.

On the technical side, the film is equally disappointing. Despite a hefty budget, the CGI and VFX are shockingly mediocre, particularly during the climactic action scenes. The visual effects are glaringly fake at times, pulling the audience out of the experience and making it hard to stay immersed. For a movie that heavily relies on its visual spectacle, this is a critical failure.

Additionally, the film lacks any sense of balance. The relentless action and noisy presentation overpower everything else, leaving no room for quieter, more meaningful moments that could have added depth or relatability to the story. Instead, it’s a non-stop barrage of explosions, growling dialogue, and overblown set pieces, none of which feel particularly well thought out.

In the end, “Martin” feels like a wasted opportunity. What could have been a gripping action thriller turns into an exhausting, chaotic, and ultimately forgettable experience. It’s a movie that seems to believe that louder and bigger automatically means better, but instead, it ends up being an unbearable assault on the senses. A frustrating watch from start to finish.
