Ottu

 “Ottu” is a Malayalam action thriller directed by Fellini T.P. It features Kunchacko Boban and Arvind Swamy in lead roles. The story follows Kichu, who is tasked with befriending David, an amnesiac ex-gangster, to uncover his hidden past.


The plot is intriguing, and the performances stand out. Arvind Swamy makes a strong comeback to Malayalam cinema, and Kunchacko Boban gives a solid performance. The cinematography by Gautham Sankar is beautiful, especially the scenes on the Mumbai-Mangaluru route.


However, the film struggles with pacing and lacks the thrills of a good thriller. The decision to start with “Chapter Two” adds confusion, and the background score feels off at times. While stylish, the narrative doesn’t fully deliver on its potential.


Overall, “Ottu” is a slow-burn thriller with some strong elements but falls short of being fully engaging.
